AwRa Trading Co., Ltd was established in the year 2005 in order to distribute LPG throughout Myanmar. To enable to distribute Liquefy Petroleum Gas LPG in Myanmar it is imported and Legally from Thailand to Myanmar. Entry point of the border trade is Myawaddy, a Myanmar border city opposite of Maesot of Thailand. The AwRa managed to transport From Myawaddy to Yangon by tanker truck to Yangon, business capital the country. Then it is distributed to all parts of Myanmar where LPG is required. As the distribution of LPG becomes successful, the company is reorganized into a public company namely AwRa Energy Public Co., Ltd and in order to import LPG by sea and to feed the market.

Awra Energy Public Co., Ltd was setup in 2018 to import Liquefy Petroleum Gas LPG by sea and distribute the product in the country. Combination affect of changing of life style, booming of the business and government respond to climate change push the community to use more LPG as an alternative.

As LPG business is getting very competitive in the country it is imperative to supply better quality, service and price to customers in order to share bigger chunk of the market. Awra sees that having an LPG terminal on the bank of Yangon River adjacent to Yangon City, current biggest LPG market as a solution.

Works programs for the future

• An LPG cylinder manufacturing factory. The sizes of the cylinder to be produced are 4kg,7kg,12kg, 15kg,20kg and 48kg.

• An LPG terminal including LPG Storage (bullet tanks and Spherical tanks) total capacity of approximately 8,000 MT or tons (cubic meter 16,000) and a dolphin type jetty will be built. (A: Bullet tank 200 cubic meter x 30 unit, B: Spherical tank 5,000 cubic meter x 2 units )

• supply LPG and LPG conversion kits to auto vehicles in Yangon and other Cities. 13

• AwRa Energy Public Co., Ltd has already acquired (33.73) acres of land in Danote Village in Dala Township, Yangon Region, on the banks of the Yangon River. Out of (33.73) acres, (8.77) acres will be used to build LPG tanks and jetty.

• Already obtained required permit for LPG Terminal from Myanmar Investment Commission MIC in May 2019.

• Some necessary ground works have been done (Bathymetric and Topography Survey ) • Land Preparations for tanks and jetty

The port will be designed to accommodate about 3,000 Metric Ton LPG vessel. • At the beginning about 30 units of 200 cubic meter bullet type LPG storage tanks will be setup. • As size of the land in Danote that AwRa have is big enough to set up larger storage such as spherical tank once the market is ready. • Awra Energy Public Co., Ltd is seemed to be a new player in LPG business. In reality Awra Trading Co., Ltd, sister company of Awra Energy and Awra Trading has been in LPG business in Myanmar for quite some time and share considerable market of LPG in the country. • Awra Trading has LPG depot in Myawaddy and Meikhtila and filling station in various key locations in the country and a strong fleet of LPG semi trailer tankers and Cargo Truck. • In addition Awra Trading required license and for LPG business such as importing, storing, transporting, distribution and retailing etc.
